Many companies operate in the only region, it may be difficult or practically impossible to rent a car in one city and return in another.

Count Dracula’s motherland is well-known for its nature, there are a lot of castles and medieval monuments. If tourists would like to visit everything but they don’t have enough time it is worth taking a rental car.

How to rent a car in Romania

  • Choosing a car on one of the companies’ sites;
  • Filling in a form with personal data;
  • Receiving of an electronic voucher by email which is presented to the manager before the trip.

There are renting companies in Bucharest, Craiova, Kosranz, Brasov and other towns, the client has to present international driving license.

The other terms are practically the same as in neighbor European countries:

  • The client should be at least 21 years old ;
  • The client should present a bank card in order to make a deposit

Where to go in Romania

Bucharest is not just a capital. The city is a popular resort with great beaches. It is known for the 17th century Cotroceni Palace, its part is occupied by a historical museum, the other is the official residence of Romanian president.

The Palace of Parliament is a symbol of Ceausescu regime. The Palace has Guiness Record as the heaviest building. It has 1100 rooms with wealthy decorations.

There is a complex of three medieval buildings in the historical quarters in Bucharest – two churches and Hanul lui Manuc.

Brasov in Transylvania attracts travelers by its two spots. The Black church was founded in the 14th century; it was fully reconstructed after the fire in 1969. The unique architectural monument is decorated with pictures; the main bell weighs 6 tons. There are interesting tours to the historical museum, 15th century town hall and St. Bartholomew and Nicholas Church.

Sighisoara is a city where Vlad the Impaler, Dracula’s prototype, was born. His family house has been preserved. The city also has 12th century fortress, museum and several ancient churches. The action of Bram Stoker’s Dracula takes place at Bran Castle near Sighisoara.

There is Prakhova valley in the Southern Carpathians, there tourists can see rocks of strange forms.
